Qualifications

• Active Maryland license: LCSW, LCPC, LCMFT, or LMSW.
• 1+ year experience with children and adolescents.
• 1+ year telehealth or virtual setting experience.
• Available after 3pm ET weekdays and/or weekends.
• Passion for family-centered, high-touch care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality virtual and in-person therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and their caregivers.
• Build meaningful relationships with patients and families and understand their needs.
• Educate patients on therapeutic approaches that foster long-term progress.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to provide compassionate, evidence-based care.

About This Role

As a Therapist at Blackbird Health, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality virtual and in-person therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and their caregivers. You’ll build meaningful relationships with patients and families, taking the time to understand their needs, support engagement in treatment, and educate them on therapeutic approaches that foster long‑term progress.

Working alongside an interdisciplinary team, you’ll be empowered to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young patients and their families through compassionate, evidence‑based care.

We’re seeking dedicated clinicians to join our Frederick, MD team and provide therapy services to children, adolescents, and young adults ages 2–26, as well as the caregivers who support them.

Multiple employment tracks are available: you’ll select your license type and preferred arrangement in the application.

Employment Options

1099 Contractor | LCSWC, LCPC, LCMFT, or LMSW

LCSW, LPC, LMFT Pay: $90‑$100 per session

LSW Pay: $75‑$85 per session

• Minimum 8 hrs/week | All Core hours: after 3pm weekdays and/or weekends
• Set your own pace and caseload

W2 Part‑Time (20 hrs/week) | LCSWC, LCPC, LCMFT, or LMSW

LCSW, LPC, LMFT Pay: $55,000 base + $80/session beyond base caseload

LMSW, SiSW Pay: $40,000 base + $65/session beyond base caseload

• 20 hours per week, (17 direct care hours) | All Core hours: after 3pm weekdays and/or weekends
• Benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO + 11 holidays

W2 Full‑Time | LCSWC, LCPC, LCMFT, or LMSW

LCSW, LPC, LMFT Pay: $85,000‑$90,000

• 40 hours per week, (32 direct care hours) | Minimum of 15 Core hours: after 3pm weekdays and/or weekends
• Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO + 11 holidays, life insurance, short term and long term disability

Who You Are

• Active Maryland license: LCSWC, LCPC, LCMFT, or LMSW
• 1+ year of experience with children and adolescent patients
• 1+ year of telehealth or virtual setting experience

Salary Range: $40,000 – $105,000 USD
