Job summary

Blackbird Health in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking therapists to provide virtual and in-person therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults, with caregivers involved in treatment. You will join an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, compassionate care and build strong therapeutic relationships.

The role supports flexible tracks (1099, part-time, full-time) with a focus on delivering high-quality care after 3pm and on weekends, while handling credentialing, billing, and EMR

Qualifications

• Active Maryland license: LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, or LMSW.
• At least 1 year experience with children/adolescents.
• Experience delivering therapy via telehealth or virtual settings.
• Availability after 3pm ET on weekdays and/or weekends.
• Commitment to family-centered, high-touch care and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality virtual and in-person therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and their caregivers.
• Build relationships with patients and families, assess needs, and support engagement in treatment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to provide holistic, evidence-based care.
• Maintain compliant documentation and safeguard patient confidentiality.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Therapist at Blackbird Health, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality virtual and in-person therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and their caregivers. You’ll build meaningful relationships with patients and families, taking the time to understand their needs, support engagement in treatment, and educate them on therapeutic approaches that foster long-term progress. Working alongside an interdisciplinary team, you’ll be empowered to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young patients and their families through compassionate, evidence-based care. We’re seeking dedicated clinicians to join our Gaithersburg, MD team and provide therapy services to children, adolescents, and young adults ages 2–26, as well as the caregivers who support them. Multiple employment tracks are available: you’ll select your license type and preferred arrangement in the application.

EMPLOYMENT OPTIONS

• 1099 Contractor | LCSWC, LCPC, LCMFT, Pay: $90-$100 per session
• Minimum 8 hrs/week | All Core hours: after 3pm weekdays and/or weekends

• W2 Part-Time (20 hrs/week) | LCSWC, LCPC, LCMFT, or LMSW | LCSW, LPC, LMFT Pay: $55,000 base + $80/session beyond base caseload
• LMSW, SiSW Pay: $40,000 base + $65/session beyond base caseload
• 20 hours per week, (17 direct care hours) | All Core hours: after 3pm weekdays and/or weekends
• Benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO + 11 holidays

• W2 Full-Time | LCSWC, LCPC, LCMFT | Pay: $85,000-$90,000
• 40 hours per week, (32 direct care hours) | Minimum of 20 Core hours: after 3pm weekdays and/or weekends

WHO YOU ARE

• Active Maryland license: LCSWC, LCPC, LCMFT, or LMSW
• 1+ year of experience with children and adolescent patients
• 1+ year of telehealth or virtual setting experience

• Passion for family-centered, high-touch care

Salary Range: $40,000 USD - $105,000 USD
