Weill Cornell Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry is seeking energetic and innovative Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join the newly developing Center for Childhood and Adolescent Behavioral Health.

The Center will be staffed by an interdisciplinary team offering acute care services for children, adolescents, and their families. The vision for the Center is to develop crisis assessment, stabilization, and treatment services for the diverse communities served by NewYork-Presbyterian and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity for compassionate clinicians to provide creative and responsive evidence-based interventions for children and families in New York City and Westchester County.

Responsibilities:
  1. Be an integral member of a developing program in a newly renovated facility at NYP’s Westchester Behavioral Health (WBH) in White Plains, New York.
  2. Participate in innovative programming, including telehealth and community partnerships.
  3. Provide care through three main components: an in-person Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program, a virtual Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program, and a Bridge to Care program for children and adolescents.
  4. Support the development of clinical programming focused on increasing access and reducing symptomatology in patients with varied clinical and social backgrounds.
  5. Partner with clinical, administrative, and educational leadership to ensure high-quality, patient-centered, and accessible treatment.
  6. Support research and education missions, serving as training sites for accredited educational programs.
  7. Evaluate and treat patients on a short-term basis.
  8. Provide bridge care from more acute settings as needed.
  9. Support patients in crisis prevention and make effective recommendations for presenting concerns.
  10. Address gaps and access issues in mental healthcare for children and adolescents.
Qualifications:

Must be board certified or eligible in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and possess or be eligible for a New York State license. Academic-oriented candidates with experience in clinical supervision and scholarly activity will be strongly considered. A focus on community engagement is particularly appreciated for this role. Enthusiasm for recruiting clinicians from diverse backgrounds and world views is encouraged. Candidates who provide treatment in multiple languages are also encouraged to apply.

Compensation:

Minimum/Maximum Compensation: $295,000 per annum. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses, clinical incentive compensation, or benefits. Actual salaries depend on various factors including internal equity, specialty, training, and hospital/community needs.
