Job Description

Nature of Work:

Adolescent and Family Services (AFS) is looking for a dynamic, trauma-informed child psychiatrist to join our dedicated team of mental health professionals. The clinic serves county children and youth, ages 4 through 18, and their families. This is a contractual consultant position, renewed annually. Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the incumbent is responsible for providing psychiatric clinical services to AFS patients in accordance with clinic policies.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

Knowledge of substance misuse and addictions. Must provide documentation of current professional malpractice insurance with a minimum of $1 million per incident / $3 million aggregate coverage.

License or Certification:

Must possess a current license from the Maryland Board of Physicians in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

At least a year of working with children and adolescents.
