Job summary

New Directions Mental Health, part of Transformations Care Network, seeks a Child & Adolescent Therapist to empower diverse youth and families. You will conduct culturally sensitive assessments and provide tailored outpatient therapy in a collaborative clinical team environment that supports licensure and professional growth.

This role emphasizes crisis planning, case consultations, and efficient documentation while delivering high-quality mental health care across the local community.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or related field.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Provisional license per state regulation (if required).
• Educational background that leads to or has resulted in professional licensing.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in mental health including supervision and continuing education.
• Eagerness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care.
• Strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and families.
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete documentation and administrative tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families.
• Provide outpatient individual and family therapy based on client needs.
• Develop crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans.
• Participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning.
• Ensure timely billing, documentation, and individualized treatment plans; manage insurance authorizations.
• Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, staff, and fellow therapists.
