Job summary

Columbia Mental Health in Woodbridge, VA, is hiring a Child & Adolescent Therapist to empower youth and families. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide outpatient therapy, develop care plans, and support clients on their path to licensure in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related field.
• Experience with children and families.
• Provisional license per state regulation if required.
• Willingness for ongoing professional development including supervision and continuing education.
• Collaborative mindset with a multidisciplinary team and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and rapport-building with clients and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families.
• Provide outpatient individual and family therapy based on clients' needs.
• Develop crisis, safety, relapse prevention, and wellness plans.
• Participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning.
• Ensure timely billing, documentation, treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and staff for holistic care.
