Job summary

HealthNet is seeking a Licensed Therapist to provide assessment, crisis intervention, and short- and long-term mental health services at our Specialty Care Center and Southwest Health Center in Indianapolis, IN. The role emphasizes evidence-based practices and work with children and adolescents in individual and family therapy.

The position requires a Master’s degree in behavioral health or human services and Indiana licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LMHC/LCAC).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in behavioral health or human services that meets Indiana licensure requirements; LCSW, LMFT, LMHC or LCAC.
• Comprehensive clinical experience in mental health treatment preferred.
• Knowledge of child/adult protective services and related legal issues.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws relevant to the role.
• Knowledge of human development across the lifespan.
• Knowledge about substance abuse and mental health resources.
• Knowledge about community resources and entitlement programs.
• Electronic charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides mental health counseling including crisis intervention and short-term counseling for patients and families.
• Completes diagnostic summaries and communicates assessment findings and recommendations to the treatment team.
• Determines need for crisis intervention or long-term care.
• Evaluates and updates treatment plans per agency guidelines.
• Maintains accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
• Participates in continuing education for professional growth.
• Identifies community resources and assists clients in accessing them.
