Job summary

Columbia Mental Health, a Transformations Care Network member in Sterling, VA, is seeking licensed Child & Adolescent Therapists. You will conduct culturally sensitive assessments and deliver outpatient individual and family therapy, while developing crisis and safety plans to support clients’ wellbeing.

Work with a multidisciplinary team, manage documentation and billing, and participate in supervision opportunities as you progress toward licensure and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related field.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Provisional license per state regulation if required.
• Education leading to/licensing for professional practice.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families.
• Provide outpatient individual and family therapy tailored to client needs.
• Develop crisis, safety, relapse, and wellness plans to support stable functioning.
• Participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning.
• Complete billing, documentation, and insurance authorizations timely.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and staff to deliver holistic care.
