Job summary

Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to join our Behavioral Health team in Tampa, Florida. The role focuses on comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative treatment planning for children and adolescents in an integrated care setting.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a General Psychiatry residency.
• Completion of a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Current Florida medical license.
• Current DEA registration.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges, if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents.
• Diagnose and manage emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the health care team.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
• Coordinate care with primary care physicians and other behavioral health professionals.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and medications.
• Order and review laboratory tests and diagnostic studies as needed.
• Educate and supervise residents, medical students, and other learners.
