Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with a focus on Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry to join the team in Wilmington, Delaware. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide specialized psychiatric care for medically complex children and adolescents.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Child and Adolescent Psychiatry residency or equivalent training pathway.
• Board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, consistent with institutional requirements.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in Pediatric Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Commitment to high-quality, evidence-based, family-centered care.
• Five or more years of post-training clinical experience and substantial Pediatric Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry experience preferred; interest in medical education, quality improvement and program development valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric consultation across settings including emergency department, inpatient acute and critical care units, and ambulatory clinics.
• Support medically complex youth with co-occurring behavioral health needs.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, whole-child care and advance clinical programs, quality improvement initiatives, and care pathways.
• Educate and supervise psychiatry fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees, with an academic appointment available through Thomas Jefferson University.
• Participate in service call and coverage responsibilities.
• Contribute to program development, medical education, quality improvement, process improvement initiatives, leadership, and clinical scholarship.
