You will collaborate with schools and healthcare professionals, maintain confidential records, and contribute to community outreach.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Registration with HPCSA as Clinical Psychologist is essential.
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience with a focus on children and adolescents.
• Strong diagnostic, therapeutic and clinical reasoning skills.
• Knowledge of development, psychopathology and evidence-based youth treatments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy (CBT, play therapy, family systems).
• Manage a caseload of child and adolescent clients with diverse concerns.
• Collaborate with parents, schools and other professionals for coordinated care.
• Maintain confidential records in line with ethical standards.
• Participate in case conferences and MDT meetings.
• Offer crisis intervention and support to families during distress.
• Stay updated with latest research and guidelines in youth clinical psychology.
• Contribute to community outreach programs promoting mental health awareness.
