Job description

Child Abuse Trained Pediatrician

Philadelphia, PA

Salary: $220,000 to $240,000 + Bonus + SIGNING BONUS + Paid Relocation

The Child Protection Program provides comprehensive medical evaluations for suspected victims of abuse within the greater Philadelphia area. Current staff includes two board-certified child abuse pediatricians, a dedicated social worker, nurse, and support staff. The program conducts evaluations in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, and at the city's regional Child Advocacy Center. The team collaborates closely with local investigators to ensure timely communication of medical findings. The program also emphasizes education for trainees, medical students, residents, and fellows. The pediatrician will receive an appointment at Drexel University College of Medicine, the hospital's academic affiliate.

Requirements
  • BC/BE in Child Abuse Pediatrics, American Board of Pediatrics
  • BC in Pediatrics, American Board of Pediatrics
  • Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric residency
  • Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Child Abuse Pediatric Fellowship
  • Unrestricted PA medical license at the time of employment
  • Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification for the Commonwealth of PA
Skills and Certifications
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics (Fellowship required)
