Job description

The client is seeking a dedicated and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join their Forex trading company in Limassol. This role will be responsible for shaping and executing the company’s technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap, with a strong emphasis on influencing the technological direction in a fast-moving financial trading environment.

The CTO will lead the overall Technology function spanning Engineering, IT and Infrastructure, IT Support, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Architecture, and Integrations. Key responsibilities include owning technical architecture and standards across trading platforms, CRM, client applications, APIs, data platforms, and internal systems; overseeing trading and financial technology integrations (such as connectivity with trading platforms, liquidity providers, and payment and third-party systems); and ensuring the security, availability, scalability, performance, and resilience of critical infrastructure. The CTO will also establish governance practices across development, testing, CI/CD, releases, changes, incidents, and technology risk management, including disaster recovery and business continuity.

Reporting to business and product priorities, the CTO will provide technical leadership for major digital transformation initiatives, including automation/AI, data and BI, CRM, mobile, and integrations, and will manage and mentor a high-performing technology organization. The client expects senior technology leadership experience (typically 8+ years) with proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across software engineering, architecture, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, cybersecurity, and IT operations, along with strong knowledge of APIs/integrations, databases, and high-availability systems. Experience in financial services, FinTech, online trading, payments, and/or knowledge of Forex/CFD trading technologies and related integration standards is advantageous, as is demonstrated people leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to operate effectively at both strategic and technical levels.
