Role Description

This is a remote, part-time (for now) role for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) that must be able to, on occasion, be able to travel into Boston and the South Shore (Massachusetts) once per week for in-person funding pitches in the near future . The CTO will be responsible for overseeing the company's technology strategy, managing software development projects, forming a future IT department, and ensuring the alignment of technology strategy with business goals. The CTO will also be involved in system architecture planning, product development, and will work closely with other executive team members (CEO, CPO) to drive the company's technological innovations. Being a start-up, the role is very specific in its needs and compensation, so please read carefully.

Qualifications

• +15 years of proven experience in cloud database architecture design and programming
• AWS based systems familiarity and online reservation system programming are a must!
• Extensive experience in leveraging AI to accomplish typically time-heavy supporting tasks
• Ability to accomplish all IT tasks independently for the time being
• CTO will work closely with other members in a collaborative manner
• Prior technology start-up experience is a plus! Must be comfortable speaking in front of investors and explaining complex technology in simple terms.
• Success is determined by target timeframe and milestone achievement
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, being able to think outside the box from a client perspective
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Master's and PhD in Computer Science, AI, Information Technology, or related field is preferred

Compensation

• As a start-up, the role is reimbursed with agreed-upon advisory shares, hence why we are looking for part-time to ensure you have a primary means of income. For the right candidate, compensation adjustments can be made. Being a small group and big ambitions, chemistry and harmony mean a lot!
