Job summary

Soledad Data Solutions is seeking a senior engineering leader to own technology end-to-end, including research, product engineering, MLOps, security, and platform work that enables small teams to achieve outsized results.

You will partner with the founder on company strategy, represent the company to customers, partners, and the broader research community, and help shape fundraising and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering leadership in ML/AI driven orgs.
• Proven track record shipping and operating ML/AI products at scale.
• Experience recruiting and retaining top technical talent.
• Comfortable presenting to customers, regulators, and investors.

About this role

You will own technology end-to-end at Soledad Data Solutions — research, product engineering, MLOps, security, and the platforms that let small teams ship outsized work. What we are looking for

• 10+ years engineering leadership; 4+ years as VP/Director/CTO of an ML-driven org.
• Has shipped and operated ML or AI products at meaningful scale.
• Track record of recruiting and retaining strong technical talent.
• Comfortable in front of customers, regulators, and investors.
• Pragmatic about trade-offs between research velocity and production reliability.

Nice to have

• Founder or early-stage operating experience.
• Background in autonomous decisioning, decision sciences, or applied AI safety.
