Description:

Sabel Systems has an immediate opening for an experienced Chief Technology Officer. This position will lead the formulation of strategic technology products and services for the Department of Defense, specifically the USAF, US Army, USMC, USN, USSF.

The Chief Technology Officer at Sabel Systems will craft and implement IT strategies tailored to the DoD, translating organizational needs into effective, best-in-class solutions that drive both mission success for our customers and growth for Sabel Systems. With strong technical expertise, operational excellence, and an entrepreneurial mindset, you'll adopt an outcome-focused approach to problem-solving. Collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you'll develop and deploy strategic solutions to address complex challenges. You are a technology evangelist and industry thought leader.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy and roadmap to deliver first-class products and solutions, ensuring alignment with leadership, business goals, and organizational objectives.
2. Build and refine a high-performing technology organization, incorporating necessary functions to drive contract growth while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
3. Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and technology vendors, to promote collaboration and mutual success.
4. Work closely with the Chief Growth Officer to define product development strategies that address current client needs and anticipate future customer requirements.
5. Analyze customer challenges and design innovative, tailored solutions that address their most pressing issues and support their mission objectives.
6. Continuously evaluate emerging solutions and services to adopt the most relevant innovations.
7. Oversee the R&D budget, ensuring prudent management of technology-related expenses aligned with Sabel Systems' growth strategy.
8. Lead the development and deployment of cutting-edge technology products and solutions across Sabel Systems' diverse portfolio, ensuring they meet customer needs and business objectives.
9. Collaborate with fellow executive team members to identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships, providing guidance throughout the business growth lifecycle.
10. Stay ahead of technological trends, industry shifts, and best practices to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of innovation.
11. Provide strategic insights and recommendations on a broad spectrum of technical matters to guide decision-making and long-term planning.
12. Advise on emerging technological research areas and advancements that align with both short- and long-term goals.
13. Lead innovation forums to foster cross-sector collaboration and drive internal partnerships, accelerating technological advancement.
14. Represent the organization as a thought leader at industry events, conferences, and forums, contributing valuable insights to the broader technological community.
15. Spearhead the integration of AI technologies to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer value.

Qualifications:

15+ years of experience in technology leadership, including 5+ years in a senior executive role, ideally within Department of Defense industry companies.

Strong experience and relationships in the Product Lifecycle Management arena (e.g., Siemens, PTC).

Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performance teams, with a focus on innovation and strategic growth.
