Evolved Aerospace, based in Elmira, NY, seeks a CTO, Systems to own mission systems and the system architecture across the company. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, responsible for technical correctness, architectural coherence, and crucial system-level decisions.

You will also be a customer-facing technical leader, shaping solutions, setting expectations, and ensuring technical credibility with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven ownership of end-to-end system behaviour on complex platforms.
• Accountability for system-level requirements, interfaces, and guardrails.
• Made binding technical trade-offs under operational constraints.
• Comfortable performing day-to-day hands-on engineering work.

Role summary:

As CTO, Systems, you own mission systems and system architecture across Evolved.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role, not a research role and not a business role. You are accountable for technical correctness, architectural coherence, and system-level decisions.

You are also a customer-facing technical leader, involved early, setting expectations, shaping solutions, and ensuring technical credibility.

We're looking for:

• Proven ownership of end-to-end system behaviour on complex, mission- or safety-critical platforms.


• Experience being accountable for system-level requirements, interfaces, and architectural guardrails.


• Made binding technical trade-offs under real operational constraints.


• Someone comfortable conducting day-to-day hands on engineering work.
