Job summary
The Buck Institute for Research on Aging seeks a Senior Director of Technology Transfer & Business Development to lead the Institute’s deal-making and alliance management efforts. You will structure, negotiate, and execute licenses, sponsored research, and government agreements, coordinating with leadership and external partners.
Applicants should have extensive life sciences experience, strong negotiation and leadership skills, and a track record of building programs and processes to manage
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience with strong business/legal training preferred.
- Proven track record as lead negotiator on complex technology transfer agreements.
- Experience managing technology transfer and alliance management in life sciences.
Responsibilities
- Lead as the Institute's deal negotiator for licenses, sponsored research, and OTAs.
- Structure deal terms: upfront payments, milestones, royalties, IP ownership.
- Oversee alliance management, governance, and program execution from kickoff to close-out.
