Job summary

CORA Services Inc. in Philadelphia seeks a Chief Strategy Officer to design, articulate, and execute the organization's long-term vision, growth strategy, and scaling initiatives.

You will lead strategic leadership, data-driven quality improvement, governance, and cross‑sector collaboration, acting for the CEO as needed, and guiding mergers, partnerships, and programmatic expansion. The role requires deep nonprofit leadership, 10–12 years in the sector, and the ability to build leadership

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent advanced degree, with an explicit specialization in Nonprofit Management, Macro Social Work, or Organizational Dynamics.
• 10–12 years of progressive leadership experience in social impact sectors.
• 5+ years in a C-suite or senior executive role managing multi-department portfolios.
• Strong foundation in nonprofit governance, capacity building, and organizational structure.
• Direct experience with frontline clinical, youth-service, or OST programming.
• Ability to maintain high confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic leadership and organizational priorities, including annual goals and performance metrics.
• Drive data-driven frameworks to measure client outcomes and guide program evaluation.
• Partner with Talent and Culture to design talent acquisition strategies and leadership pipelines.
• Represent CORA on advocacy boards and communicate with donors and public entities.
• Provide executive leadership support to the CEO and board-related activities.
• Develop and oversee governance processes, meeting agendas, and board materials.
• Lead high-priority initiatives and coordinate cross-department collaboration.
