FedEx Group is seeking a Chief Strategic Project Engineer in Memphis, TN, who will act as the technical expert on strategic projects. This role entails overseeing project development, identifying specialists, and staying informed on new technologies to present potential opportunities to management.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least eight years of aircraft engineering experience. The position requires strong analytical and communication skills.
The Chief Strategic Project Eng role includes acting as the technical expert in strategic projects and related subjects within FedEx. They oversee the creation of strategic project development and design, identify and source consultants or contractors for specialized expertise, and stay updated on new technologies to inform the manager about potential new products and business opportunities.
Bachelors degree in engineering.
Eight (8) years of directly related aircraft engineering experience.
Strong analytical, human relations, and communication skills.
Computer programming abilities.
Some travel required.
Aircraft Structures or Aeronautical Engineering Degree Preferred.
Extensive Experience in Design and Support of Structures/Structural Installations.
Extensive knowledge with FAA FARs 21,25,91,121 and Aircraft Design and FAA STC Certification.
The desired location for this position is Memphis, TN. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
