Chief Maintenance Engineer

CHIEF STATIONARY LICENSE REQUIRED

Job description : Oversee and perform maintenance projects both scheduled and emergency to keep plant operations running at full capacity. Serve as a point of contact for daily department needs related to plant maintenance and upkeep. Work with departmental peers to review proper procedures for completing daily and assigned tasks. Carryout preventative maintenance schedules for all plant equipment and systems. Maintain a strong knowledge of the plant including all equipment, systems, ongoing projects, repairs and installations. Provide details daily to facility leadership on the status of projects, equipment and overall facility operations. Adhere to all safety protocols including but not limited to company and OSHA standards. Maintain an organized working environment. Work collaboratively to meet company goals.

Reports to : Maintenance Manager / Corporate Chief Engineer

Requirements :

  • Degrees or certifications in mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, or other fields HIGHLY PREFERRED
  • Stationary boiler license REQUIRED
  • 7 years of manufacturing or production plant maintenance experience
  • Strong technical skillset
  • Ability to lift 100+ lbs.
  • Ability to enter and work in small, tight, dark or secluded spaces for long periods
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a COVID vaccination

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure on-time completion of departmental tasks
  • Monitor all maintenance orders for the facility
  • Provide hands-on support to departmental staff as needed to maintain facility operation
  • Maintain preventative and corrective maintenance project schedules
  • Communicate with facility leadership on the status of ongoing, upcoming or emergency maintenance projects
  • Perform projects and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal plant operation
  • Other duties as assigned
