Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Chief Software Engineer to lead enterprise-wide architectural initiatives and define long-term technology strategy. This role guides design of scalable, resilient distributed systems and serves as a technical authority across teams.

You will mentor senior engineers, drive modernization, and partner with leadership on roadmaps while delivering high-impact engineering outcomes in a remote, full-time W2 setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven expertise designing distributed, high-scale systems in production.
• Advanced proficiency in Java, Go, C++, or similar backend languages.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, system optimization, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise-level architectural standards and guardrails across multiple units.
• Lead design and implementation of scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Architect multi-region, globally distributed platforms with availability and disaster recovery in mind.
• Drive modernization, microservices, and platform consolidation initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and guide cross-team technical decisions.
• Lead incident response improvements and reliability engineering efforts.
