Job summary

The Boeing Company in Long Beach, CA is hiring a Chief Software Architect for AvionX to lead the AvionX Software team and own the coherence, integrity and DO-178C/LOR compliance of airborne software architectures.

You will drive architecture definition through certification, align software practices with system safety objectives, and collaborate with Enterprise Software Engineering to enable SW engineering processes across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 15+ years of C/C++ programming experience.
• 10+ years developing software for embedded systems and achieving DO-178C/LOR objectives.
• 10+ years with Matlab/Simulink and embedded software verification or certification.

Responsibilities

• Advises management on embedded software engineering topics and architecture decisions.
• Directs design, development, testing and maintenance of embedded software across platforms.
• Ensures compliance with industry standards and customer requirements for embedded systems.
• Oversees performance tracking of software teams and coordination with suppliers.
• Provides technical leadership for embedded software project management functions.
