Job summary

Legend Biotech is seeking a visionary Chief Scientific Officer to lead and shape the global Research strategy and operations. The CSO will drive scientific vision, manage investments, and oversee cross‑functional teams to translate novel cell therapy concepts into development candidates.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., immunology, oncology, molecular biology).
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Research leadership roles within biopharma/biotech, with focus on cell therapy or immunotherapy.
• World-class scientific accomplishments demonstrated by publications and patents.
• Proven track record of advancing therapies from research through early clinical development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s scientific strategy and global research roadmap.
• Oversee global research programs, platforms, and drug discovery efforts across geographies.
• Lead budgeting, resource allocation, and talent development within the R&D organization.
• Represent the company in scientific, regulatory, and partnership forums and drive external collaborations.
