Coriell Institute for Medical Research is in search for it's next Chief Scientific Officer.
The Chief Scientific Officer will serve as the senior scientific leader of the organization, overseeing the Research Department. This individual will ensure the alignment of scientific priorities with institutional goals and foster innovation in research. They will be responsible for guiding and mentoring Principal Investigators (PIs), ensuring a nurturing environment for trainees, advancing interdisciplinary collaboration, and driving the development of impactful research initiatives.
The Chief Scientific Officer will also have the role of VP of Academic Affairs, leading and administrating Coriell’s Faculty Program, in conjunction with the President/CEO, Human Resources Office, and the Coriell Faculty Committee.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
The Chief Scientific Officer will be responsible for the following areas within the Institute:
Education:
PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in a relevant biomedical science field
