Job summary

LifeStream is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer and Emergency Management Coordinator to lead the organization’s Safety Management Program, Environment of Care, and Life Safety initiatives in Leesburg, FL. You will serve as the Safety Officer and oversee preparedness, training, and compliance with OSHA, NFPA, CMS, CARF, AHCA, and life safety standards.

You will manage incident response planning, security measures, drills, and competency programs while collaborating with leadership to maintain

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of healthcare safety, emergency management, environment of care, or facilities safety experience; leadership preferred.
• Certifications such as CHSP, CHEP, CHFM, ASP/CSP; FEMA ICS certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental, safety, security, and life safety rounds across facilities.
• Monitor and trend safety, security, environmental, drill, and emergency data.
• Investigate safety occurrences and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with HR on injuries, return-to-work safety, and safety training.
• Develop and revise safety, emergency, and life safety policies.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management or related field

Master's Degree preferred

OSHA regulations knowledge

NFPA standards knowledge

CMS/ CARF/ AHCA familiarity
