MINNESOTA STATE PUBLIC DEFENDER seeks a Chief District Public Defender to lead a large public defender office, overseeing administration, staffing, and case management within the Tenth Judicial District. The role requires strong leadership and deep knowledge of criminal law and public defense policy.

The Chief Public Defender will supervise attorneys and support staff, coordinate with courts and state offices, and ensure quality service for indigent defendants.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of criminal and juvenile law
• Experience leading public defense programs
• Strong understanding of legislative processes affecting public defense
