Job summary

City Gospel Mission in Cincinnati, OH, seeks a Chief Program Officer to translate the President's strategic vision into measurable results across ministry programs. This senior executive oversees daily operations, integration, evaluation, and continuous improvement of shelter, recovery, employment, youth programs, and administrative support, guiding them with Christ-centered service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Master’s Degree in related fields preferred (Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Counseling, Public Health Administration).
• Experience leading multi-site or multi-program organizations with large budgets and strategic planning.
• Experience in Rescue Missions, Homeless Services, Faith-Based Organizations, Recovery SUD Organizations, Workforce Development preferred.
• Strong communication, both written and oral; ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
• Cultural competency with commitment to equity and serving diverse communities.
• Significant experience managing direct reports and teams.
• Ability to evaluate and improve systems, processes, data, and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead organizational execution for program operations and performance.
• Translate the President’s vision into measurable objectives and drive execution.
• Build and sustain a high-performing executive leadership team with coaching and succession planning.
• Deliver measurable program outcomes using evidence-based practices and stewardship of resources.
• Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to inform strategic decisions and impact.
• Ensure policy compliance, budget accountability, safety, and client-centered service delivery.
• Facilitate participant progression from crisis to stability and independence.
• Guard spiritual growth while supporting staff and participants.
