Job summary

Tread Inc. is building an AI-native operating system for construction materials logistics, enabling operators to ship software quickly with a hands-on product leader working directly with the CEO.

You will own critical roadmap areas like payments and agentic scheduling, spending time on-site with customers to uncover key journeys and value drivers. You will lead the Forward Deployed Engineering team, shipping high-velocity customizations and driving a fast feedback loop.

Qualifications

• AI-native SDLC obsession with agent-based workflows, rapid prototyping, and coding agents.
• Leading the FDE: hire, manage and scale the Forward Deployed Engineering team with tight feedback loops.
• Operator DNA: 7–12+ years shipping software in high-growth, high-stakes environments with ownership of product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own the product loop by translating field pain into shipped solutions quickly.
• Be the CEO's primary thought partner on platform strategy, architecture and prioritization.
• Drive the AI-native SDLC to accelerate development speed through agents and automated workflows.
• Hire and scale the Forward Deployed Engineering team, shipping customization with customers.
• Eliminate layers to maintain high agency from idea to production.
