Job summary

Gilbert Pharmaceuticals seeks a Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to oversee sourcing, procurement, and supply chain for its compounding pharmacy network, ensuring reliable API and material flows for 503A and 503B operations.

You will build vendor partnerships, negotiate contracts, manage inventory, and ensure FDA, USP, and cGMP compliance while leading a procurement team and implementing ERP systems for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field.
• 7+ years in procurement with 5+ years in pharma manufacturing/compounding.
• Experience with 503A/503B; FDA regulations familiarity.
• CPSM and/or CPhT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies for APIs and excipients.
• Negotiate contracts with FDA-registered suppliers.
• Manage vendor qualification, audits, and performance.
• Maintain inventory systems and just-in-time strategies.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USP, and cGMP.
• Lead procurement team and develop SOPs.
• Collaborate with QA, Regulatory Affairs, and Operations.
