Job summary
Xanterra Travel Collection, based in Greenwood Village, Colorado, seeks a Director of Privacy & Cyber Legal Affairs to lead the privacy program and provide strategic legal guidance across North America and Europe. The role reports to the Chief Legal Officer and collaborates with IT, Commercial, and product teams to ensure privacy and cybersecurity compliance.
Ideal candidates hold a J.D. and US bar admission, with 3+ years in privacy or technology law, plus certifications (CIPP, CISSP,
Qualifications
- 3+ years of legal or privacy-related experience.
- Experience with privacy and cybersecurity issues in regulated environments.
- Familiarity with standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and privacy laws.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business teams to shape secure, compliant solutions.
- Provide legal guidance on cybersecurity laws and privacy frameworks.
- Draft and refine privacy policies, risk assessments, and governance docs.
- Advise on incident response, breach obligations, and post-incident reviews.
- Review vendor agreements for privacy protections and compliance.
- Assist with data governance and vendor risk in contracts.
- Embed privacy-by-design and security-by-design principles enterprise-wide.
- Engage regulators and industry bodies on privacy initiatives.
