Job summary

UNC COM is seeking a Chair of Primary Care to lead curriculum and faculty across the department. The role includes planning, directing, and implementing programs, with oversight of all faculty and direct involvement in medical student education and scholarly activity.

The successful candidate will guide curricular development, assessment, and interprofessional education, while ensuring accreditation standards and strategic departmental goals are met.

Qualifications

• DO degree holder with active medical license in Colorado.
• Board certification in a primary care specialty (family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics).
• Academic leadership and teaching experience in medical education settings.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and implement programs, policies, and procedures for the Department of Primary Care.
• Oversee faculty in the department and participate in curricular development.
• Lead accreditation and regulatory compliance efforts and budget planning.
• Engage in interprofessional education and faculty development activities.
• Represent the department in UNC COM leadership and governance.
