Job summary

NICHOLAS AIR in Oxford, Mississippi seeks a Chief Pilot to lead and develop our flight crewmembers, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold the highest safety standards in private aviation. Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable Chief Pilot qualification requirements of 14 CFR 119.69 and 119.71.
• Must hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with appropriate ratings.
• Must hold a type rating in at least one aircraft operated by NICHOLAS AIR.
• For first‑time Chief Pilots, must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the preceding six (6) years as Pilot in Command in Part 121 or Part 135 operations.
• Must be capable of maintaining qualification and currency in a NICHOLAS AIR aircraft as required by company policy and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• The Chief Pilot is responsible for the management, supervision, standardization, and professional development of NICHOLAS AIR flight crewmembers.
• Provides leadership and oversight of pilot qualifications, training, checking, standardization, and regulatory compliance.
• Promotes a positive safety culture throughout the operation and coordinates with the Director of Operations to ensure compliant flight operations.
