Job summary

NICHOLAS AIR is seeking a Chief Pilot based at our Oxford, Mississippi headquarters. The role oversees flight crewmembers, ensures qualification, training, checking and standardization, and champions safety and regulatory compliance across the operation.

The Chief Pilot works closely with the Director of Operations to ensure flight operations meet 14 CFR, OPS Specs and company policies. It is a full-time leadership role with a home-based rotation option.

Qualifications

• Must meet Chief Pilot qualifications per 14 CFR §§119.69/119.71.
• Must hold an ATP certificate with appropriate ratings.
• Must hold a type rating for at least one NICHOLAS AIR aircraft.
• 3+ years PIC in Part 121 or Part 135 within last 6 years.
• Maintain qualification and currency per policy and regs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, standardize and develop flight crewmembers.
• Oversee pilot qualifications, training, checking and standardization.
• Promote safety culture and regulatory compliance across ops.
• Collaborate with Director of Operations to ensure compliant flights.
• Full-time role based at NICHOLAS AIR HQ in Oxford, MS.

As a required management position under 14 CFR Part 119, the Chief Pilot provides leadership and oversight of pilot qualifications, training, checking, standardization, and regulatory compliance while promoting a positive safety culture throughout the operation. The Chief Pilot works closely with the Director of Operations to ensure flight operations are conducted in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, company policies, and safety management principles. This is a full-time position based at NICHOLAS AIR headquarters in Oxford, Mississippi.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :• Must meet all applicable Chief Pilot qualification requirements of 14 CFR §§ 119.69 and 119.71.• Must hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with appropriate ratings.• Must hold a type rating in at least one aircraft operated by NICHOLAS AIR.•For first-time Chief Pilots, must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the preceding six (6) years as Pilot in Command in Part 121 or Part 135 operations.• Must be capable of maintaining qualification and currency in a NICHOLAS AIR aircraft as required by company policy and regulatory requirements.BENEFITS :NICHOLAS AIR pilots receive an industry-leading benefits package designed to support an exceptional quality of life both in and out of the cockpit.
