Job summary

The South Dakota Historical Society Foundation seeks a visionary Chief Executive Officer to guide the Foundation's philanthropy, governance, and organizational stewardship. • Proven success in comprehensive fundraising efforts and philanthropic support.
• Experience managing budgets, financial planning, and staff leadership.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Board to identify philanthropic opportunities and advance fundraising priorities.
• Cultivate and solicit leadership gifts and donor relationships.
• Ensure sound financial stewardship through budgeting, planning, and investment oversight.
• Maintain internal controls, financial oversight, and separation of duties with staff and Board.
• Monitor investments, endowments, cash flow, and performance in line with Foundation policies.
