Job summary

Carney, Sandoe & Associates partners with The Quad Preparatory School to recruit a Chief Advancement Officer. The role combines fundraising leadership with strategic storytelling to advance the school's mission and philanthropic capacity.

The Chief Advancement Officer will design annual giving, lead capital campaigns, and build the first endowment, while aligning communications and donor engagements with Board and leadership priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus.
• 10–15+ years of progressive experience in development/advancement, with leadership experience.
• Entrepreneurial builder mindset and ability to create from limited starting points.
• Generalist across annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, corporate/foundation relations, events, and volunteer management.
• Ability to move between donor relationships and strategic storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the annual giving strategy to grow participation and gift size.
• Lead capital campaign efforts from feasibility to stewardship.
• Build the school's first endowment and educate the Board on gift policies.
• Formalize corporate and foundation relations and build scalable partnerships.
• Track and report fundraising metrics and communications metrics to leadership and Board.
