The Director will oversee faculty, trainees, and staff, maintain national leadership, and balance scholarly pursuits with exceptional patient care in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • MD or MD/PhD with board certification in pediatric pulmonology.
  • Eligible for State of Ohio Medical Board licensure.
  • Rank of associate or full professor with eligibility for appointment as an affiliated faculty at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
  • Strong national and international reputation in pediatric pulmonology.
  • Track record of implementing new initiatives in academic medicine and clinical care.
  • Demonstrated leadership, people management, and mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Division of Pulmonary Medicine as its Director with a focus on clinical excellence, education, and research growth.
  • Foster innovation in patient care, research, and education while preserving a culture of collegiality.
  • Develop and sustain strategic initiatives to advance programs such as Airway & Aerodigestive Center, CF Center, and Sleep Medicine Center.
  • Advance faculty development, mentorship, and collaborations across divisions and the health system.
  • Ensure fiscal stewardship and infrastructure to support faculty, trainees, and staff.
