Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Ohio seeks a mid- to senior-career faculty member to join our team as Associate Division Director for Research. The Division supports single- and multi-center pulmonary and sleep medicine research with strong extramural funding and a dedicated research core.

The ideal candidate will have a strong record of extramural funding, excellence in clinical or basic/translational research, and experience mentoring faculty and fellows.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent is required.
Graduate of an approved Fellowship program if applicable.

Responsibilities

Provides medical care and treatment to patients.
Conducts patient assessments and diagnoses medical conditions.
Develops and implements treatment plans for patients in accordance with established protocols.
Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary.
Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Communicates with patients and their families to provide education and support.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals.
Participates in the training and education of medical students, residents, and fellows as required.

Education

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent
