VyStar Credit Union seeks a strategic leader for Payment Operations to oversee card processing, electronic payments, and vendor management. The VP will drive regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and customer-centric service while coordinating with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and execution of real-time payments initiatives and treasury activities within a large financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years leadership experience in a financial institution managing payments departments including ACH, check processing, ATMs, electronic payments, debit/credit cards.
• 8+ years of experience in the consumer card and electronic payments industry with market knowledge.
• 8+ years of contract and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for payment service operations.
• Oversee day-to-day operations for card processing and electronic payments.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payment services with high service quality.
• Monitor trends and feedback to identify improvement areas.
• Lead and develop a high-performing payments team.
• Manage relationships with third-party processors and card networks.
• Oversee vendor pricing, SLAs, and contract reviews; lead RFPs for critical systems.
