Job summary

Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Keller seeks a Chief Operations Officer to lead daily hospital operations and drive clinical excellence, financial performance and market growth. Qualifications

• 3 years of healthcare management experience at director/manager/COO level preferred
• Rehabilitation hospital experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred; related fields: Business, Healthcare Operations/Management, or clinical discipline
• Med-Surge hospital knowledge a plus
• Basic computer skills: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Clinical and Administrative Management experience a plus
• Passion for superior clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction and partner relationships

Responsibilities

• Reports to and partners with the Market CEO to lead day-to-day operations of the hospital; execute the strategic plan with focus on clinical excellence and financial performance
• Establish operational controls and reporting; support a high-performing management team
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance (Joint Commission, CARF) and drive improvements in outcomes and patient experience
• Oversee hospital operations, financial structure and performance against objectives
• Motivate and lead a high-performance management team and recruit/mentor staff
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and accreditation standards in healthcare operations
• Perform other duties as assigned

How you'll contribute:

Reports to and partners with the Market CEO to lead day-to-day operations of the hospital. Executes the strategic plan with a focus on clinical excellence, financial performance, and market growth. Establishes operational controls and reporting, supports a high-performing management team, ensures regulatory and accreditation compliance (e.g., Joint Commission, CARF), and drives improvements in outcomes, patient experience, and partner relationships.

• Provide oversight and direction for hospital and team
• Provide day-to-day leadership within the organization, including advice, guidance, direction and authorization to achieve the clinical and financial goals and objectives of the organization
• Design, develop and implement a strategic plan that focuses on clinical excellence, financial performance and and business development in collaboration with the Board of Managers and manages and directs the organization toward the goals of the plan
• Oversee the adequacy and soundness of the organization's financial structure, including reviews of operating results of the organization, comparing them to established objectives and takes steps to ensure appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results
• Motivate and lead a high performance management team; attract and recruit and retain required members of the team, including physicians, not currently in place and providing mentoring as needed
• Ensure that all activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulation, Joint Commission standards, CARF and other rehab specialty accreditations, the Hospital Compliance Plan and all laws governing healthcare operations
• Other duties as assigned

What we're looking for

• 3 years of successful healthcare management experience preferably as hospital/healthcare facility Director, Manager or COO
• Rehabilitation hospital experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred; preferred degree in Business, Healthcare Operations/Management or a clinical discipline
• Med-Surge hospitals and systems (for profit and non-profit) knowledge a plus
• Basic computer knowledge including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Clinical and Administrative Management experience a plus
• Passion for superior clinical outcomes/programs, superior patient satisfaction and partner relationships required
