Job summary

Kindred Hospital Philadelphia - Havertown and Acute Rehabilitation Unit seeks a COO to lead hospital-wide operations, drive strategic planning and ensure safe, efficient patient care across clinical, ancillary, and support services.

You will oversee budgeting, compliance, and quality initiatives in collaboration with the CEO and medical staff, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health or clinical specialty required.
• Five years' experience in healthcare administration/management with a minimum of two years' experience at a senior nursing management level, in a hospital setting with experience in operations.
• Two years’ COO or CEO level experience preferred. Graduate level education may substitute on a year-to-year basis for the required experience.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Directs overall hospital operations; clinical, ancillary, and support departments.
• Develops and monitors the hospital budget, ensuring operations do not exceed the approved budget.
• Collaborates with Market CEO on strategic planning for the hospital.
• Ensures compliance with licensure/certification, qualifications, experience, and competency of staff.
• Participates in hospital quality initiatives and governance; maintains survey readiness.
