Job summary

The Groden Network in Providence, RI seeks a dynamic Chief Operating Officer to oversee children’s services across educational, residential, outpatient, and community-based settings. You will shape operational strategy, ensure safety and quality, and align programs with the Network’s mission.

Lead budgeting, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration, while fostering an inclusive, trauma-informed culture and delivering measurable outcomes for students and individuals served.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive leadership experience in educational, residential, outpatient, community-based, behavioral health, or human-services nonprofit settings.
• Strong executive management, budgeting, program development, quality improvement, and cross-departmental supervision abilities.
• Oversee multi-program or multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily administration of school, residential, outpatient, and community-based programs.
• Develop and execute strategic planning initiatives.
• Ensure high standards of care, safety, clinical quality, accessibility, and developmental support.
• Foster an inclusive, trauma-informed, person-centered work culture.
• Maintain adherence to state, federal, local, licensing, accreditation, and payer requirements.
• Oversee health, safety, emergency response, and field-safety protocols.
• Ensure services meet authorization, medical necessity, and documentation timeliness.
• Partner with CFO to develop and manage operational budgets.
• Monitor expenditures, staffing productivity, service utilization, and contract performance.
• Address variances with finance and program leaders to support growth.
