Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the global operations organization with site managers in Belgium, Poland, the UK, and Canada.
  • Drive operational excellence across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and logistics; emphasize standardization and performance.
  • Establish and enforce best-in-class processes, KPIs, and benchmarks across all sites.
  • Champion customer-focused operations aligned with quality, delivery, flexibility, and cost requirements.
  • Oversee capacity planning, footprint optimization, and resource allocation for current operations and future growth.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards for high-reliability EMS manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and PM to support business development and NPI.
  • Lead digitalization, operational efficiency, and scalability initiatives.
  • Foster a high-performance culture with clear accountability and leadership development.

Headquartered in Ronse, Belgium, C-MAC operates manufacturing sites in Belgium, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Poland. The company employs approximately 350 people globally and is part of a privately owned German single-family industrial group.

We are urgently looking for a:

Hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Electronics Manufacturing Services
Role overview:

C-MAC is seeking an experienced, hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and continuously strengthen its global operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO holds end-to-end responsibility for manufacturing, supply chain, quality, logistics, and site leadership across all locations.

The COO plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, ensuring consistent execution, and supporting profitable growth while meeting the demanding quality, reliability, and delivery expectations of C-MAC’s customers.

This position is based in Belgium or Poland and requires regular travel to international manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the global operations organization, with direct leadership of site managers in Belgium, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Canada
  • Drive operational excellence across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and logistics, with a strong focus on standardization and performance
  • Establish and ensure consistent execution of best-in-class processes, KPIs, and benchmarks across all sites
  • Champion a strong customer focus by aligning operations with customer requirements for quality, delivery, flexibility, and cost
  • Oversee capacity planning, footprint optimization, and resource allocation to support current operations and future growth
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards relevant to high-reliability and harsh-environment EMS manufacturing
  • Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, and Program Management to support business development, new product introduction (NPI), and lifecycle management
  • Lead transformation initiatives to improve digitalization, efficiency, scalability, and operational resilience
  • Build and reinforce a high-performance culture through clear accountability, talent development, succession planning, and leadership coaching
  • Act as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to corporate strategy, investment decisions, and long-term value creation
Your Profile:
  • Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role within electronics manufacturing, EMS, or high-reliability industrial manufacturing
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple sites
  • Strong understanding of customer-driven manufacturing environments with complex quality, regulatory, and delivery requirements
  • Experience leading international, multi-site operations with culturally diverse teams
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to engage, challenge, and develop senior site leaders
  • Data-driven mindset with solid financial, operational, and business acumen
  • Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and hands-on levels
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with executive leadership, customers, and external partners
  • You create trust around you. You foster a culture of safety, quality, and innovation
  • Willingness to travel regularly to international manufacturing sites
  • Based in Belgium (or Poland) or willing to relocate
