Job summary

3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic in San Francisco seeks a Director of Community Behavioral Health to lead clinical supervision, staff development, and program strategy across multiple sites.

You will manage contracts and budgets, ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation, and guide trauma-informed, culturally responsive services for youth ages 12–24 and their families, while representing the agency to funders.

This exempt, full-time role reports to the Chief Program Officer.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology or related field.
• Appropriate licensure (e.g. LMFT, LMSW) from the applicable licensing authority.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a similar role.
• Proficient with supervision, service delivery, and case management fundamentals.
• Proficient knowledge of applicable laws.
• Strong people skills.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise Behavioral Health team.
• Develop and implement a system to evaluate staff development needs.
• Develop objective performance measurements across sites.
• Ensure staff work within the agency’s mission, vision, and values.
• Fulfill leadership duties when a position is vacant.
• Communicate effectively using strength-based language.
