Job summary

The Department of Radiology at Penn State University College of Medicine seeks a full‑time, subspecialty trained Abdominal Imaging Physician to serve as Chief of Ultrasound. Primary duties include optimizing ultrasound protocols, standardizing practices across Penn State Health, and leading ultrasound education for residents and fellows.

Clinical work includes interpreting US/CT/MRI; fluoroscopy and virtual colonoscopy are assets.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD/DO) or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited radiology residency.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.
• Board certification/eligibility in Radiology.
• Fellowship training in abdominal/body imaging.

Responsibilities

• Optimize diagnostic ultrasound protocols across the health system.
• Collaborate with Penn State Health physicians to standardize ultrasound protocols.
• Lead ultrasound education for radiology residents, fellows, and learners.
• Interpret diagnostic ultrasound, CT, and MRI studies.
• Administrative time as Chief of Ultrasound; guidance on fluoroscopy and virtual colonoscopy as assets.

Education
