Job summary

The Chief of Staff partners with Medical Director and Practice Manager to recruit, train, and guide the team while maintaining Banfield standards and compliance across the hospital.

Qualifications

• DVM (or equivalent) and veterinary license in good standing.
• Two years clinical experience required.
• Experience coaching and developing associate doctors is required.
• Ability to lead a hospital team and drive veterinary medical care and client service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hospital with a focus on high-quality veterinary care and client satisfaction.
• Balance leadership duties (20–30%) with veterinary responsibilities (70–80%).
• Partner with Practice Manager, Medical Director and Field Director to recruit, train, and develop staff.
• Ensure compliance with Banfield policies and local regulations.
