Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
BetterBrain is seeking a management consultant to work daily with co-founder Tom Latkovic, helping build and scale multiple ventures across AI, product, growth, science, and partnerships. You will shape strategy, test ideas, and drive outcomes that matter to the company’s trajectory.
You’ll have autonomy to structure problems, develop recommendations, and advance projects with guidance from Tom and leaders.
BetterBrain is pioneering a movement to make evidence-informed brain health accessible to everyone on earth. We bring together advances in longevity science and AI to help people protect their brains, think better, feel better, and live longer, fuller lives.
Our mission is personal, shaped by experiences with dementia in our families. We’re working toward a world in which people can preserve their memory, independence, relationships, and ability to do the things they love throughout their lives.
We believe the convergence of longevity science and AI can transform human healthspan and create a new generation of health and longevity businesses. BetterBrain combines advanced diagnostics, personalized coaching, clinical care, and technology to turn that possibility into practical help for real people.
We recently completed a substantial round of funding and have enough capital for at least two years. We’ve spent two years building what we think is the best health optimization platform on earth, and we’re growing 20x year over year.
We are an AI-native company. AI is central to both the products we build and how we work every day. We’re building a system for personalized, whole-person health, anchored in the brain, and developing several connected businesses around it:
We’re looking for an exceptional management consultant to work directly with BetterBrain’s co-founder and co-CEO, Tom Latkovic, every day.
Before BetterBrain, Tom co-founded McKinsey’s AI practice and the McKinsey Health Institute. At various times he led McKinsey’s Payor practice and served as the firm’s global co‑Chief Product Officer, and he was lead author on two widely read pieces on health: "Adding years to life and life to years" and "The secret to great health? Escaping the healthcare matrix." He has also founded multiple successful businesses outside McKinsey.
You’ll help build and scale multiple businesses in parallel, contribute to important decisions, and turn agreed priorities into tangible results. Your work will span AI, product, growth, science, commercial partnerships, finance, and operations.
You’ll have meaningful autonomy to structure problems, develop recommendations, test ideas, and advance projects, with close collaboration and regular guidance from Tom and functional leaders.
If you’re thinking seriously about becoming a founder or business leader, this is an opportunity to develop the judgment, skills, and confidence that come from helping build and operate real businesses.
Your responsibilities will evolve with the company’s priorities and your development. Together, we’ll agree which projects you lead, where you support others, and what success looks like. Expect to:
A project might begin with a blank page and end with a live product, a signed partnership, a better customer experience, or a more effective way of working. You’ll stay close enough to the work to understand what happened, what you contributed, and what to do better next time.
You’ll work daily with a founder whose experience spans healthcare, AI, technology, and company building. You’ll participate in difficult decisions, receive direct feedback, and build relationships with scientists, clinicians, engineers, entrepreneurs, and commercial leaders.
The breadth is unusual. You’ll learn how product choices affect customer behavior, how care delivery affects economics, how partnerships create distribution, and how to allocate limited resources across competing opportunities.
You’ll have space to contribute your ideas, develop your judgment, and build confidence through practice. As your skills develop and you deliver results, you’ll take on broader responsibilities and more challenging projects.
We’re looking for someone with a strong record at a high-quality management consulting firm who is ready to contribute, learn quickly, and grow into a highly capable operator. Your experience should fit one of these stages:
We’re prioritizing candidates from McKinsey, Bain, and BCG, and will also consider exceptional candidates from other firms.
You:
You should be excited to become highly capable with building agentic workflows and pushing the boundaries of what is possible with AI. Experience in healthcare or software is useful; the ability and desire to learn are essential.
We work intensely, and we have a blast.
Expect long days, regular evening and weekend work, rapidly evolving priorities, and daily engagement with Tom. The standards are high, the problems are difficult, and the commitment of time and energy is substantial.
Our working life also includes mountains, oceans, bikes, and adventure. Ideas get debated on hikes and by the water. We laugh, explore, and enjoy the people we’re building with. Helping people live fully is central to BetterBrain, and we want that spirit in the experience of building it.
We’d love for you to be based in Denver/Boulder or San Francisco. Remote also works, with occasional travel for in‑person time.
Lead with empathy – We are privileged to be entrusted by people with their most important organ. When faced with a difficult decision, we always do what's best for people's lives.
Challenge the status quo – Our healthcare system is broken; we must challenge/forget everything we've learned. By taking a beginner's mindset, we will rebuild a system in a way that actually works.
Relentlessly pursue excellence – Solving Alzheimer's may be one of the most difficult challenges of our time. This means charging fast at hard problems and not stopping until we achieve our very high bar.
Stay curious, stay humble – The field of brain health is moving at an incredible pace. We are quick to admit when we don't know something and we continuously update our perspective as the science evolves.
