Job summary

AXIS Capital in New York seeks a Chief of Staff to the Group COO to serve as a strategic execution partner, ensuring alignment, governance, and value delivery across Operations, Data & Analytics, Technology, AI, Transformation, Architecture, and Information Security.

You’ll convert strategy into action, drive portfolio governance, manage operating cadence, and support executive decision making, enabling the Group COO to focus on high-value priorities while maintaining accountability for outcomes.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership in operations or strategy, transformation, tech, data & analytics, or enterprise programs.
• Experience in complex, regulated financial services or insurance environments.
• Ability to lead large cross-functional initiatives and influence senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Shape the COO enterprise agenda and strategic priorities.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across Operations, Tech, Data & Analytics, AI, and Transformation.
• Ensure initiatives have clear outcomes, ownership, and metrics.
• Prepare concise materials for ExCo, Board, and executives.
