A leading political office in New York is seeking a Chief of Staff to lead operations and support the Assembly member's goals. The role involves managing staff, liaising with stakeholders, and implementing legislative initiatives. Ideal candidates will have strong communication, time management, and relationship-building skills, along with a deep understanding of the legislative process.

The Chief of Staff is the Assembly member’s team lead, responsible for ensuring that the office’s daily and long-term operations effectively support the Assembly member’s goals and constituents. They serve as the primary liaison between the office and governmental agencies, stakeholders, and community leaders. The Chief of Staff implements the office’s legislative initiatives while managing the staff. They work in tandem with the District Director and together form the Executive Committee to maintain and improve office systems and procedures. They lead constituent services, community affairs, communications, legislative work, and scheduling. Additionally, they support and advise the Assembly member, working with them to develop relationships and achieve strategic goals.

Location: The role is based in Albany, NY. During the legislative session, the Chief of Staff will be based in the Legislative Office Building. When not in session, the Chief of Staff will be in the District Office.
