About the Role

As Chief of Staff at Solstice, you will center your work on enabling operational excellence in operations, people and recruiting, strategy and cross‑company logistics. You will drive initiatives that onboard and support top talent, build systems to create a scalable “talent flywheel,” and help set the standard for best‑in‑class internal processes. You will also play a key role plugging operational gaps, managing the touchpoints that keep Solstice running smoothly, and partnering with executive leadership to launch strategic projects.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Designing, owning, and evolving People Ops processes including onboarding, employee lifecycle management, payroll coordination, and performance reviews

  • Building and implementing the infrastructure for scalable, effective recruiting: creating sourcing strategies, improving interview processes, and developing a repeatable talent flywheel

  • Plugging operational gaps across the org, independently identifying challenges and implementing process improvements

  • Coordinating and driving cross‑functional strategic projects with teams across engineering, commercial, product, and operations

  • Creating and refining systems, processes, and communication cadences that support fast company growth and high quality execution

  • Acting as connective tissue between executive leadership and the wider company, translating company strategy into actionable execution and tracking progress

  • Maintaining high standards for documentation, deliverables, and project management

Requirements
  • Strong experience in people operations, recruiting, management consulting, fast‑growing startups, or other highly cross‑functional, project‑driven environments

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills

  • Ability to lead and execute complex projects independently

  • Comfort operating in an ambiguous, fast‑paced, in‑person startup setting

  • Ability to anticipate issues and proactively solve problems

  • Familiarity with tech‑enabled or life sciences/healthcare environments a plus but not required

We are in person five days a week in our NYC office and work hard because building something exceptional demands focus and commitment. In exchange, you’ll own high‑impact projects, learn quickly, and collaborate with exceptional colleagues in a supportive culture.
